Our service extends to disabled clients wishing to train their dogs to assist or to become the perfect companion.

Based in Newcastle our dog training service is tailored to you. Jigsaw Dogs will visit you and work with you and your dog at home.

Some dogs (and handlers) find this approach much more relaxing and less threatening than a class, and progress is often much quicker on a one-to-one basis.

By visiting you at the home, we can fully appreciate the nature of the challenge you may be facing with no conflicting distractions to you or your dog. With in home consultations training generally progresses quicker, as dogs feel less threatened and more relaxed. This goes for the owners too!

  • Cost: Initial consultation is $200 (approximately 2 hours)
  • Follow up consults $80 per hour
  • If you prepay and prebook follow up sessions are $70 per hour.
  • Appointments further than 30 mins travel from our postcode address of 2280 will incur a cost to add to each trip of 50c per km for the return trip.

Our initial consultation is approximately 2 hours long, after which you will have a clearer idea of the issues to hand, how to deal with them and a training outline to implement.

This consultation includes handouts and follow up emails and phone support are included if needed. Any follow up consultations are usually one hour in length.

We work not just with the dog, but hand-in-hand with you, their handler. We guide you to working directly with your dog, so your dog responds to you. We strive to work on creating the perfect partnership with your dog.
